Sources close to the information have informed us that two intriguing welterweight matchups are currently in the works for later this fall. We're told that WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman may be placing his title on the line against former champion Shawn Porter, and undefeated former unified jr. welterweight champion Danny Garcia could potentially face multi-division former champion Robert Guerrero.
Although nothing has been finalized in regards to either fight, both bouts would presumably take place on separate dates. According to one source, Thurman vs. Porter is being eyed as the main event of an October 3 PBC card already featuring Adrien Broner vs. Khabib Allakhverdiev. Another source tells us that Garcia vs. Guerrero is being considered for a late October date.
