Sanjar "The Terminator" Rakhmanov is a fighter with unlimited potential. Like many Eastern European boxers before him, he comes equipped with devastating power, a granite chin, and an extraordinary dedication to his craft.
This 2013 Uzbekistan National champion made his pro debut on June 20th, 2015 under Mayweather promotions. The welterweight prospect Rakhmanov needed just 1 minute and 21 seconds to dispatch his opponent Brett Simmons (2-2-2). Simmons crumpled to his knees once the Uzbekistani hammered him with a double left hook to the body.
His head trainer Dewey Cooper told reporters, "We caught him with that nice Uzbek power." Together they approach the sport with a unique perspective, "We are martial artists and we train everyday. This is a lifestyle, we don't do this for recreation, he has no bad habits, he loves to fight. World championship is the goal," said Cooper.
Rakhmanov's second bout took place on the ultimate stage of the Mayweather-Berto undercard on September 12th, 2015. He went the full four rounds with his opponent Farkhad Sharipov to win a unanimous decision. Affiliation Management CEO Dejuan Blake is also confident Sanjar is on his way to becoming a world champion.
Rakhmanov's next bout takes place live on Showtime this Saturday Nov 14, 2015.
