"Just in boxing period, contact sports period, you win some, you lose some," stated retired undefeated former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who recently commented on Ronda Rousey's 2nd round knockout loss to newly-crowned UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Although Mayweather, who was in attendance for a Los Angeles Lakers game at Staples Center on Sunday, stopped short of commenting in-depth on Rousey's performance, he did offer a few words about the result of the fight.
"I don't know about this fight, I just know that you win some and you lose some. It basically comes with the territory," Mayweather told David Mayo of MLive.com before reiterating that Rousey's appearance on the cover of the latest edition of Ring Magazine was a "bad look" for the sport of boxing. "That shows you when I step away from the sport, when I step outside the ring, and I'm on the other side, you can see what's going on," he added.
