Retired undefeated former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather won big again, this time thanks to WBA middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs. Although Mayweather did not place a bet specifically on Jacobs, he did win $56,250 after betting that Jacobs vs. Quillin would not go past 9.5 rounds.
Sure enough, the fight lived up to Mayweather's expectations. In fact, the fight likely surpassed everyone's expectations when Jacobs landed a devastating right hand in the first 60 seconds and followed up with a barrage of punches that nearly floored Quillin and had him on unsteady legs, prompting the referee to call a halt to the fight at 1:25 of round 1.
