Cleveland born lightweight fighter Mickey "The Spirit" Bey Jr is making his long anticipated return to action Saturday, December 18th at the Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. He takes on Naim Nelson on a Premier Boxing Champions card. Mickey has not seen combat since his IBF world lightweight title victory on September 14th 2014.
Bey is excited to get back to business and is looking forward to the opportunities a victory will afford his flourishing career. "A good performance will get my ranking up. There's also talk about me fighting back in Ohio, possibly on the Adrien Broner-Ashley Theophane card. It's all up to me."
For Bey, all that matters is maintaining his focus and keeping spiritually grounded. "Skills, talent and a good heart and spirit will always rise to the top. says Bey.
