Richard Perez, world-class boxing coach of UFC star Nate Diaz, is looking forward to a rematch with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. As far as he's concerned, a second fight will be even easier given that Diaz will be given a full training camp to prepare. In a recent interview with FightHype.com, Perez was asked if a rematch would play out even more so in the favor of Diaz, to which he quickly replied, "Oh, heck yeah!"
"In the first round, Nathan would have been picking it up with the jab, front kicks, leg kicks, and been a lot busier," Perez explained when asked how Diaz would have performed if he was given more than 11-days notice to take the fight. "He knew he had to have a slower start and get through that first round and I knew he would pick it up in the second round. You could see in the first round he was fighting like someone pacing himself in case it was a long fight. But he picked the pace up in the second and the rest is history."
