ANTHONY JOSHUA DEMOLISHES DOMINIC BREAZEALE IN 7

Moments ago at The O2 Arena in London, England, IBF heavyweight champino Anthony Joshua knocked out challenger Dominic Breazeale in the 7th round, keeping his undefeated record intact. At no time was Breazeale ever really in the fight, as the speed of Joshua allowed him to take command from the opening bell. The champion looked composed as he went to work, hurting Breazeale numerous times throughout the fight, but the durable American remained resolute throughout and kept coming forward.

In the second round, Joshua landed a beautiful left uppercut that sent Breazeale stumbling across the ring on very unsteady legs. Joshua jumped on him and rained down punches to close the show, but Breazeale managed to survive the round. From that point on, Joshua threw everything but the kitchen sink at Breazeale. The champion was never forced to leave second gear or over-exert himself. Joshua had Breazeale in trouble again at the start of the 7th when a left hand sent the challenger back against the ropes. Joshua saw his opportunity and opened up with another barrage of punches, landing a right hand that sent Breazeale crashing to the canvas. Although he beat the count, it was clear that the end was near.

Joshua calmly approached the challenger to finish the job, letting his hands go and landing another vicious right hand that rocked Breazeale and sent him to the ropes again. Joshua unloaded another barrage of punches, blasting throught the guard of Breazeale until he landed a wicked left hand that floored the challenger. The referee quickly waved off the fight without bothering to administer a count.

In other action, Anthony Ogogo, Kal Yafai and Conor Benn also earned 1st round knockouts.
