Sources close to the information have informed us that multi-division former world champion Amir Khan and former world champion Billy Dib have yet to paid their full guaranteed purses from their July 12 clash at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. According to one source, Khan is being "swindled" out of millions of dollars by business partner Bill Dosanjh, CEO and founder of Super Boxing League, the promotional company that staged the event.
We're told that Dosanjh and event manager Asif Vali were fronted $10 milllion by the Saudi Arabian government to cover certain expenses of the event, including fighter purses. However, according to multiple sources connected to fighters participating in the event, the entire card was paid "well below" expectations. We've reached out to representatives of Team Khan for a reply, but have yet to receive a response. Be sure to check back for more details as they unfold.
