Moments ago, lightweight king Juan Manuel Marquez cleared the way for his already scheduled third showdown with pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao, scoring an explosive first round knockout over Likar Ramos in Cancun, Mexico. Although he may have wanted to shake off some ring rust after a lengthy layoff, Marquez made quick work of his lesser skilled opponent, landing a devastating right hand that put Ramos out cold for a couple of minutes after the fight.
