
Moments ago, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, former light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson scored a second round TKO victory in a bizarre ending when former light heavyweight king Bernard Hopkins was unable to continue after he was pushed and fell to the canvas, seemingly injuring his elbow and shoulder. ROUND 1
Dawson comes out jabbing. Hopkins cautiously circles from the outside. Jab lands for Dawson. Quick right hand lead lands for Hopkins and he clinches. Dawson comes forward with the jab. Left lands upstairs for Dawson, but Hopkins lands a right to the body. Hopkins circles away. Dawson jabs. Now Hopkins charges forward leading with his head and tries to land a looping right upstairs. Quick right lands for Hopkins. Dawson lands a left. Left to the body lands for Dawson. They trade against the ropes. Close, tactical round, but I give it to Dawson.

Dawson doubling up on the jab, but falling short with it. Quick right lands for Hopkins. Dawson lands a short left hook on the inside. Some roughhousing on the inside. Dawson backs him up to a corner. Hopkins lands a short right hook. Hopkins doing a lot of moving. They trade jabs. Now they trade short hooks. Hopkins misses with a lead right and tries to grab Dawson, who gives him a shoulder shrug and Hopkins goes crashing to the canvas. Hopkins is still on the canvas. He's holding his shoulder and acting as if he can't continue. Wow. That's it. LOL. It's over. Talk about believe it or not. LOL. The crowd is chanting, "Bullshit! Bullshit! Bullshit!" Because no foul was called and Hopkins can't continue, Chad Dawson is declared the winner.
