"I gotta look at Pat Russell funny. He said that was a boxing move that TKO'd Bernard, and I know I saw Bernard hit Chad with a hook and Chad's glove touched the ground. Pat waved that shit off too, so I had to start looking at him funny...X definitely wants to fight again and he wants to fight Chad again. We just gotta see how it all plays out. It was starting to heat up in there. Chad dumped him and now we're where we're at. We will see," stated world-class trainer Naazim Richardson, who shared his thoughts on the controversial ending to last Saturday's clash between his fighter, future hall-of-famer Bernard Hopkins, and former champion Chad Dawson. Check it out!
PC: What's up Brother Naaz?
NR: Ah man, I'm holding on with both hands, dealing with this madness right now.
PC: A lot of people had opinions, but what is your take on what happened at the end of the fight?
NR: Well, it's funny because I was arguing with people in my own corner. I said, "He didn't grab his leg." Then I see the replay and he got his leg in his arm (laughing). I thought it was a foul before I saw that he had his leg, but when I saw that shit, I was like, "Damn."
PC: It was definitely a bizarre ending.
NR: Yeah man, and me, I gotta look at Pat Russell funny. He said that was a boxing move that TKO'd Bernard, and I know I saw Bernard hit Chad with a hook and Chad's glove touched the ground. Pat waved that shit off too, so I had to start looking at him funny.
PC: Where do you guys go from here my man?
NR: Well, we will wait to see if it's a rehab thing or a surgery thing and go from there. X definitely wants to fight again and he wants to fight Chad again. We just gotta see how it all plays out. It was starting to heat up in there. Chad dumped him and now we're where we're at. We will see. But I'm picking up Rock right now, Perc. This will be his first time going to the Masque since he's been home. I was going to call you today anyway, so I will hit you back soldier.
PC: Sounds good my man. I will be around.
NR: Alright, take care Perc.
