In a fight where he was facing his toughest challenge to date, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. once again proved that he's more than just a work in progress, defeating the tough Marco Antonio Rubio via unanimous decision and successfully defending his WBC middleweight title. Continuing to improve with every outing, Chavez Jr. controlled the action from the beginning, bullying Rubio to the ropes and never letting him implement his game plan.
