There appears to be trouble brewing in Pacland paradise. According to a post on his official Twitter page, Strength & Conditioning coach Alex Ariza revealed that promoter Bob Arum recently tried to convince 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao to fire him. "Bob arum- manny told me u again tried to get him to fire me," Ariza would post just moments ago. It's unclear as to exactly what he's referring to, but Ariza, Bob Arum, Michael Koncz, and Freddie Roach were all just in San Antonio for the Top Rank doubleheader featuring Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Nonito Donaire.
Ariza's post continued, "Is it Alzheimer's or are you this Fucking stupid! Hope u Enjoy my new article." It is believed that over the weekend, Arum finalized details with Koncz and Roach for Pacquiao to face undefeated jr. welterweight champion Timothy Bradley on June 9th. Thus far, calls to Ariza have gone unanswered, but we're eagerly waiting to see what else he has to say wherever he posts this new article. Stay tuned for more details to unfold.
