"Hey, I love it! That's music to my ears. I can go train now. That's good news for me. That's great news. It can't get no perfect. I can't even wait," stated three-division world champion Shane Mosley, who is extremely excited about facing WBC jr. middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on the May 5th undercard of Mayweather vs. Cotto. "I can't wait. It's going to be great. I'm going to be in great shape, I'm going to be ready, and I'm going to do my thing. I'm healthy. That's the most important thing. I'm ready to go. This is very exciting."
Mosley finds it ironic that he'll be facing the 21-year-old Alvarez, who happens to be the same age of Mosley's son, Shane Jr. "He's a young guy," he noted, "it's kind of ironic to me. He's the same age as my son." Nevertheless, Mosley thinks it's the perfect fight and the perfect opportunity for him to prove that he's still has more fight in him. "I love it. I love the matchup and the way he fights. It's going to be a helluva fight. It's going to be a great fight for me," Mosley added. "I'm happy, I'm excited, I'm ready to go to training camp and I'm ready to get ready to fight Canelo Alvarez."
