According to world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza, WBC Middleweight Champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is finalizing details to face undefeated middleweight contender Martin Murray on June 16. "We're going over camp dates for the fight right now," stated Ariza, who is currently in Mexico meeting with Chavez Jr. to discuss details for training camp.
Ariza will be departing for the Philippines on Wednesday to begin training camp with 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, but it won't be long before he returns. "I'll be back the third week of April. Chavez will be training a little bit early. He'll be doing a 10-week camp," Ariza explained, noting that he and Chavez Jr. plan on beginning work early for this fight. Given the fact that the bout is scheduled to take place one week after Manny Pacquiao faces Timothy Bradley, one can assume that it will likley be televised on HBO in conjunction with the rebroadcast of Pacquiao vs. Bradley.
