The experience of future Hall-of-Famer and former champion Erik Morales was not enough to outhustle the youth of undefeated jr. welterweight Danny Garcia, who moments ago scored a unanimous decision and captured his first world title at the Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas. Once again, Morales proved to be the warrior that he is, hanging with the younger Garcia for the majority of the fight, but a late knockdown sealed the deal for the newly crowned WBC jr. welterweight champion.
