WEC welterweight contender Carlo Prater talks about his upcoming clash against WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit on February 13th. Check out what he had to say about Condit, the fight and more.

PC: How's everything going Carlo?

CP: Everything is great. Just training and eating.

PC: How's training going for your fight against Carlos Condit on February 13th?

CP: Very well! I've been training in Brasilia since October; just got into Houston Texas to train with Saul and Yves and everybody here.

PC: How do you go about stopping a guy on a 6-fight winning streak?

CP: He is a human of flesh and bone just like you and I. I am training very hard.

PC: Condit is a very dangerous opponent. Who approached you with this fight and what was your initial reaction?

CP: He is a very dangerous, well-rounded opponent. My manager Ken approached me with this offer and I jumped on it. This is my shot!

PC: Both of you guys are very well versed in Jiu Jitsu. Do you think you have an advantage on the ground?

CP: He might not have the credentials that I have in ground fighting, however, in an MMA fight, his ground tactics are very high-level. I am training for every possible scenario.

PC: Who are you training with to prepare for this fight?

CP: In Brasilia, I trained with RFT, RKT, Pudim/Bala, and Bangkok Team. In Houston, I train with Yves Edwards, Lee King, Melvin Guillard, Todd Moore, Rocky Long, everyone at Metro Fight Club and my trainer Saul Soliz's gym.

PC: What would becoming the WEC welterweight champion mean to you?

CP: It would definitely be a dream come true. To be a world champion is something every fighter dreams of.

PC: It's always tough fighting a champion, but do you feel any added pressure fighting him in Albuquerque, his hometown?

CP:  No, not really. We fought in Albuquerque last time as well. A fight is a fight anywhere. You don't fight the crowd, just your opponent.

PC: What is your prediction for this fight? How do you see it ending?

CP:  I believe it will be a battle of two hungry warriors. A test of wills. I believe I will win.

PC: Good luck in your fight in a couple of weeks. Is there anything you want to say in closing?

CP: Thank you for the interview, Percy. Thanks to the fans that support me. Thanks to all my family and friends. My sponsors Elite Fight Gear, House of Pain, Pitbull Mortgage School, Gamma-O, Starz Mouthguards, Forcefield, Fight Time Fitness and www.muaythai.com.br, www.mmaagents.com Thank you all!
