With the recent news that Zab Judah will be fighting Shane Mosley on May 17th, world-renowned trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. talks about the possibility of training Judah after being contacted by Zab's own father Yoel Judah. Plus, Mayweather Sr. had a lot to say about this weekend's highly-anticipated clash between Kelly Pavlik and Jermain Taylor. "To be honest man, the only thing he's going to do is run or get knocked out early," he stated and you don't want to miss what else he had to say as he shared his thoughts on the fight, working with Judah, training with De La Hoya and much more. PC: You know Zab Judah and Shane Mosley are going to fight in May huh?
FM: Yeah, they called me to train Judah.
PC: Did they?
FM: Yeah, they called me to train Judah. I don't know what's happening yet. They supposed to be done came and met with me and ain't nobody came yet. I talked to Yoel, his daddy, and another guy, Tom. I talked to both of them man and you know Zab know what's going on because he was there when I was talking to them. That's what's going on man. We got to figure everything out and get Judah up here.
PC: Yeah, I know you like to get that time in with your fighters.
FM: Yeah man! You need that time and right now, to be honest
they supposed to fight when?
PC: May 17th. That gives you about 3 months right now.
FM: Oh, it's 3 months from now when he fights Shane?
PC: Yes.
FM: Yeah, I have to get with them because I'm going to be training with De La Hoya. I know Shane Mosley will probably be here with De La Hoya and I gotta get my money man. Judah will pay me, but they ain't going to pay me like Oscar. I'm going to have to stick where I am man. I'll be glad to get in there and show him things to do, but nah! It's too much at risk for me to do that.
PC: Shane and Oscar could possibly train together so that might be a conflict anyway.
FM: You're right. It could be. We'll see!
PC: I know you told me the only way Jermain wins the rematch is to come and see you. What do you think about him going back with Ozell Nelson?
FM: He talk all of that stuff man. Ozell must be in his head some kind of fuckin' way. All of that friend shit is out the window. Ozell is an amateur coach so he's not going to the point of letting somebody do a professional job. He knows he's an amateur coach. Why would you train somebody of this magnitude at this level of the game when you know you're an amateur coach? If you're going to train this guy, you should be a seasoned pro. He ain't seasoned enough to be training somebody like that; especially somebody at this level. To be honest man, the only thing he's going to do is run or get knocked out early. I'm telling you right now what's going to happen. It ain't a damn thing that Ozell can tell him but, "Man, you about to go into the ozone." That's what he about to tell him. It ain't shit else he could tell him. He could tell him he about to go the hell up out of here. I'm just being real man. He fights like an amateur and now he's going back to the same thing. Man, look here, you get what you ask for. This is your amateur coach. How can you fight like a pro and you got an amateur coach training you. All I see is amateur in Jermain. I'm going to just be honest; that's all I see. It is what it is. All that stuff Ozell doing

man, that don't have nothing to do with this game. All of that friendly shit ain't going to do shit for you. None of it! He about to find that out come Saturday. Then they done put on 6 more pounds for the weight. Man, come on man. I'm telling you right now what's about to go down. It's plain to see what's about to happen. Can you hear me Percy?
PC: I hear you.
FM: This is so plain to see, Ray Charles can see it. It's easy to see, just open your eyes and you'll see it. I done gave you the word Percy. The dumbest thing in the world for Jermain to do is take that fight back-to-back. He should've at least got a couple of tune-ups and built his confidence up and he could've done much better man. He got lucky the first time and put Pavlik down, but I don't even see it happening this time. Pavlik has all of the confidence in the world right now. He don't need no coach, no crowd cheering; none of that. All he needs to do is get in that ring right now. That's all he needs. Everybody that left me came back. The only one who ain't came back is my son and you know why? Because I already done taught him what he thinks he knows. All of what he thinks he knows, I taught him, but I'm going to show him too.
PC: I know you say you don't show nobody all of it.
FM: No, no, no, no, no! I got knowledge for years man. I done forgot
and I'm not just saying it man
I done forgot more than the average trainer done ever learned.
PC: That's it. That's why me and my partner on the site call you "The Truth" and "The Gospel".
FM: Nothing but! If you think I ain't the truth, watch Saturday and tell me about it. I know my stuff. If you don't think I know this game, just watch it and you could tell me about it.
PC: When are you and Oscar going to get together?
FM: I think we going to get together in the first of March. I got so many fighters now man, I don't think it will be a good idea to bring Judah up here. It makes no sense for me to wait on this lil' money when Oscar is the one that has secured me already and in these next couple of fights, I'm going to be more secure.
PC: Well that's what the goal is.
FM: That's what the goal is exactly.
PC: You have to get it while it's there Big Floyd. That's all I could tell you.
FM: That's right because if I don't, somebody else will. You see what Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach came and did. Freddie Joke came right on in there, but Oscar knows Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach ain't the real deal. I always knew it wouldn't last anyway man because Oscar knows. Oscar knows boxing so I knew we'd be back together. I always told him he was going to come back anyway so that ain't no surprise to me. He gotta get somebody with skills and he know what I got
"The Truth"! They're about to see and so is my son. He could talk all of that stuff, but my son knows his daddy is the truth. He knows it ain't no cakewalk. I've trained both of these fighters, but this right here is a whole different story. I'm about to stop all of this stuff man; all of this talking.
PC: We'll get together after the fight and rap again. I know you have something to say about the Chad Dawson-Glen Johnson fight so we'll rap about all of that when I call you Sunday.
