PREFIGHT
Tonight's weight...Hatton 149, Castillo 153...interesting considering that Castillo just recently moved up to 140. Castillo comes out to the ring first accompanied by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Jorge Arce. Castillo looks to be in good shape and ready for a war. Ricky Hatton is dawning another "Ricky Fatton" shirt. He says the best two names on his record are Kostya Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillo and those were his best two performances. Hatton dedicates his performance to Diego and Michelle Corrales. Michelle Corrales comes into the ring and gives Hatton a hug. Max Kellerman asks him if he thinks that Castillo's skills were diminished with all the wars he's been in...the crowd begins to boo. Kellerman says Hatton was able to accomplish what Mayweather wasn't and that's beating Castillo convincingly. Hatton says that you probably saw more action in his four rounds with Castillo than you've seen in Mayweather's ENTIRE career. Wow. Bold statement. Max Kellerman says that Castillo looked like a shot fighter...that he showed up to see what the young kid had, decided that he didn't want to continue, and called it a day on a body shot. Castillo may not have looked like the same fighter he once was, but Hatton deserves credit for getting a "shot fighter" out of there in fairly easy fashion.
