Espinoza Boxing and Sycuan Ringside Promotions will honor Los Angeles' only world champion boxer Israel Vazquez for his legendary victories against his arch rival Rafael Marquez. Vazquez defended his crown and put an emphatic close to boxing's most exciting rivalry on Saturday, March 1, 2008 by capturing a split decision victory over Marquez in their historic rubber match. Vazquez would reign supreme in the legendary trilogy, taking two out of three from Marquez. Each fight would top the last one, making this trilogy one of the best of all time.
