I am so pumped about this fight.," stated Thomas "Wildman" Denny as he talked about his eagerness to face Nick Diaz at the upcoming CBS EliteXC Saturday Night Fights card on July 26th. Check out what else he had to say about Diaz, the fight and muce more.
PC: How are you doing Thomas?
TD: Never been better.
PC: Less than a month away from your CBS debut against Nick Diaz. Were you already training?
TD: Nah, I was chillin' down at the beach eating hot dogs when I got the call.
PC: I'm sure you're excited to get the call to be on this card. Are you more excited to be on CBS or to have the opportunity to fight Nick Diaz?
TD: Having the opportunity to finally punch Diaz in the face.
PC: Although you got the win in your last fight, I'm sure you didn't want to win by DQ. How do you see this fight going and how would you like to end it?
TD: My hand raised, Diaz in a pool of blood on the mat.
PC: What do you think of Nick Diaz as a fighter?
TD: Tough guy; takes a great ass whoopin'.
PC: Are you confident enough in your ground game to take the fight there or do you feel you stand a better chance of winning keeping this fight on your feet?
TD: I feel comfortable anywhere with this fight to be honest.
PC: You never know what to expect when we see the "Wildman" fight. Do you have anything up your sleeve?
TD: Yeah, a big right hand and a left hook.
PC: You've been around this sport for a long time. Did you ever think you would see it to the point where it would be featured on CBS?
TD: No. This is so big. I am so pumped about this fight. I have been having a hard time sleeping; all I want to do is train and fight.
PC: Would you like a win over Diaz to set you up for a fight with KJ Noons for the title?
TD: For sure! Noons is a class act and I would love a fight versus him. He has been a great champ and I would like to take that position.
PC: What do you feel is Diaz's biggest weakness?
TD: Being picked on as a kid! I don't know, his eyebrows!
PC: Good luck on the 26th of July. I'm sure this will be a good one. Is there anything you want to say in closing?
TD: Man, thanks to all the fans who have stuck by me and believed me. I told everyone that one day this would happen and look, here we are. I want to thank Terry from KOTC, Chad from Toe2Toe, Matt from Bloodfist, Matt from Premier fighter and all the rest of the hard workers that gave what they could to keep me going in this sport.
