It was a night of submissions and close decisions in Omaha, Nebraska as UFC Fight Night 15 saw up-and-coming stars in the lightweight, middleweight and light heavyweight divisions battle their way into contender status. Check out all the results from the night.

Nate Diaz def. Josh Neer via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29)
It was a ground war between Neer and Diaz in a great fight to end the night. Diaz looked better throughout the fight due to his submission attempts and his dominant positions. Neer put on a better showing in the second round though which led to the split decision loss. Diaz could have looked a little more dominant, but it still was a good victory. Josh Neer also proved he was the real deal and he could also be a force in the lightweight division some day. With the victory, Diaz wins his fifth fight in the UFC and is probably on his way to a Pay-Per-View.

Clay Guida def. Mac Danzig via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
It was a takedown clinic by Clay Guida in this fight. Mac Danzig looked pretty good at the beggining of round one and for a short stint in round three, but that was about it. Danzic couldn't get anything going as Guida constantly took him to the ground and worked his ground and pound for the majority of the fight. With the win, Guida has officially tossed his name into the lightweight mix. Look for him to face a contender in his next fight. Danzig is still main card quality, but he'll need a lesser oppenent to regroup himself. Good win for Glay Guida.

Alan Belcher def. Ed Herman via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29)
A great fight and great effort by both the men. Belcher used his Muay Thai throughout the entire fight, doing whatever he could to make sure the fight did not go to the ground. Herman looked for the takedowns, but nothing really happened on the ground until the end of the last round where he managed to get the mount. This fight could have gone either way, but two of the three judges thought Belcher deserved the nod.

Eric Schafer def. Houston Alexander via submission (arm triangle choke) at 4:53 of Round 1
Big loss for Houston Alexander as he loses in his hometown. Alexander looked strong coming out of the gate as he rocked Schafer with a knee, but he couldn't finish him. Alexander stuffed a few takedowns and landed a few good shots, but nothing big. Once Schafer finally got the fight to the ground, it was all over as he quickly got the mount and Alexander was unable to escape. After landing some good elbows, Schafer locked in an arm triangle choke that forced "The Assassian" to submit with only a few seconds left on the clock.

OFF-TV RESULTS

  • Alessio Sakara def. Joe Vedepo via TKO (Right High Kick) at 1:27 of Round 1
Alessio Sakara is back in business with a brutal high kick that knocked out Vedepo. Expect to see Sakara on Spike TV in the near future.

  • Wilson Gouveia def. Ryan Jensen via submission (Armbar) at 2:04 of Round 2
Gouviea gets back on track by submitting Ryan Jensen. Look for him on some Spike TV cards in the near future, possibly the prelims of the TUF Finale.

  • Joe Lauzon def. Kyle Bradley via TKO (Ref Stoppage) at 1:34 of Round 2
This fight went longer than expected as many people thought Lauzon would take it by submission in round one. Lauzon may have worked his way back to main card status with the win however.

  • Jason Brilz def. Brad Morris via TKO (Ref Stoppage) at 2:54 of Round 2
Good win for Brilz, but I don't think it's enough to get him on the televised portion of an event.

  • Mike Massenzio def. Drew McFedries via submission (Kimura) at 1:28 of Round 1
Huge win for Massenzio. I think a lot of people thought McFedries would win this fight by KO in round 1. Mike proved a lot of us wrong.

  • Dan Miller def. Rob Kimmons via submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 1:27 of Round 1
Big first win in the UFC for the IFL middleweight champion. Look for him to be on TV in his next fight.
