FightHype.com briefly caught up with world-class trainer Brother Naazim Richardson to get his thoughts on Joe Calzaghe's lopsided decision win over Roy Jones Jr. this past Saturday night. "Tarver knocked him out, Johnson beat him up and Calzaghe embarrassed him," remarked Richards. After winning only one round on all three judges' scorecards, the question many diehard fans have been asking is if Jones overlooked Calzaghe or took him lightly?

"No, I don't think he did, but Roy called me talking about he wanted to fight Bernard and I told him he had to take care of business on Saturday…Roy will retire after this one. As a fighter and you've been that guy putting your hands behind your back, taunting guys, to have it done back to you is the most discouraging thing that could happen to a guy like Roy. He'll retire," continued Richardson, who also admitted that, despite the dominant victory, he didn't think Calzaghe fought quite like himself. "I don't think Calzaghe fought the pace he normally fights at. He just didn't look like he was fighting at that frantic pace he normally does, but he embarrassed Roy." One can only imagine how bad it would have looked if Calzaghe did indeed fight at his normal pace.
