"I wouldn't go back if they asked me too. That chapter of my life is closed baby! I will always be a fan, but I'm past my ring girl days...I love MMA and always will. I still go to the fights sometimes or I go to UFC fight parties," stated former UFC Octagon Girl Ali Sonoma as she talked about her future plans. Check out what she had to say about her breakup with Diego Sanchez, her experience on The Mole and much more.
PC: How are you doing Ali?
AS: I am feeling very blessed right now.
PC: I won't go into it too much, but you and Diego recently separated. How tough was that for you and without giving away too much, what prompted the separation?
AS: It's been really tough; we were best friends and lovers. He made a career choice. He needed a change and I did too. He said his next fights coming up were extremely important and he has to focus 100% on them and that he can't be in a serious relationship right now. We lived together and as much fun as it was, I guess I was a little bit of a distraction (laughing). And I'm done with fighters!
PC: If he's thinking about moving down to 155, what better way to shed the 15 pounds than to stay with you, right?
AS: (Laughing) That's what I thought! There's plenty of ways I can think of shedding the weight!
PC: You seem to have moved on from the situation and from what I understand, you have a great opportunity coming up. Can you tell us about it?
AS: It's really funny the way things work. One second I was heartbroken, the next I get an opportunity of a lifetime. My agent called me and said this elite furniture company is going on a world tour and they need hostesses to showcase the floor. He also said it would be in 8 different countries in roughly 3 and a half weeks and the pay is phat! I was like, "Thank you! Praise God! Get me outta here already!"
PC: So you will be traveling the world. What countries will you be in?
AS: Spain, the UK (London), Switzerland, France, Africa, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Australia and China (Hong Kong)
PC: We've also seen you on TV on the show The Mole. Would you like to do more shows like that or would you prefer movie roles?
AS: No, I did The Mole because it was a chance to win some money and I won $30,000. I am not interested in acting right now; it's not my kind of industry. Hollywood is ridiculous.
PC: What was that experience like for you and did you make a big purchase with the $30 g's you picked up?
AS: It was a great experience! Who wouldn't want to win 30 G's?! And I also got to see Chile and will have great stories to tell for the rest of my life. With the money, I am internationally investing in certain projects.
PC: What was the toughest part about being on the show?
AS: The toughest part was that the cameras were always in your face and you were almost always wired. It got to be annoying.
PC: Arianny has been left alone for the past couple of months, I believe due to Visa problems for Edith. You ever got any offers to come back?
AS: No and I wouldn't go back if they asked me too. That chapter of my life is closed baby! I will always be a fan, but I'm past my ring girl days.
PC: So you wouldn't ever consider going back?
AS: Totally done.
PC: Are you still a fan of MMA?
AS: Of course. I love MMA and always will. I still go to the fights sometimes or I go to UFC fight parties. They are always fun.
PC: Where do you see yourself in 5 years or so Ali?
AS: In 5 years, I see myself doing what I am now. I am living life to the fullest, traveling and enjoying all the experiences of it. Soon, I would like to see myself owning a few businesses, fitness competing, doing volunteer work and someday having a family of my own.
PC: Good Luck in everything that you are setting out to do Ali. Have a safe trip and give me a holla when you get back to let me know how everything went. Anything you want to say in closing?
AS: Thanks for all the support and love I have gotten from family, friends, and fans. Love you all!
