According to reports, Las Vegas police searched the home of Floyd Mayweather Jr. earlier today after witnesses identified his Rolls-Royce as being involved in a shooting outside of the Crystal Palace Skating Center late Sunday night. No one was hurt or injured during the shooting, which took place between 10PM and 11PM, but a vehicle was hit with several bullets and witnesses identified Mayweather's car as it drove away. Police have refused to comment on what they were specifically looking for and Mayweather is not a suspect, although law enforcement is hopeing to speak with him to see if he has any information regarding the incident.
TMZ.com would later contact Floyd Mayweather Sr., who informed them that his son had nothing to do with the incident. Accoring to Mayweather Sr., his son informed him that police searched his home today looking for a gun, but were unable to find one. He also revealed that the likely reason why his son's car was identified is because he takes his kids there every Sunday to skate. No other details have been released at this time, but it is another minor headache that Mayweather Jr. will have to deal with just weeks before his anticipated return to the ring. There's currently a conference call scheduled later today for a "major announcement" regarding his Sept. 19th showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez.
