"I'm not going to be as strong as Joe, I know that, but if I can make a difference in the strength department, just a little bit, like against Uno and stop a few of his takedowns, I will be okay. I know Joe does not like to get hit. I know a couple of guys that's in his camp right now. I'm confident. I know he's in great shape right now, but he's also a little bit bigger. I'm looking to be faster and little bit stronger and stuff those takedowns...I'm going to go after Stevenson. I'm going to go out there and try to knock him out. That's my gameplan," stated UFC lightweight Spencer Fisher as he talked about his upcoming clash with Joe Stevenson at UFC 104. Check it out!

PC: How have you been Spencer?

SF: I'm good. I've been training with a lot of great wrestlers. I got a lot of wrestlers to train with for this camp.

PC: I know your weight is always an issue. How is the weight situation right now?

SF: I'm a little heavy right now, but this is the first time I've lifted heavy weights before. I'm stronger. Everybody talks about how much stronger I am, so in the strength department, I'm looking to be...I'm not going to be as strong as Joe, I know that, but if I can make a difference in the strength department, just a little bit, like against Uno and stop a few of his takedowns, I will be okay. I know Joe does not like to get hit. I know a couple of guys that's in his camp right now. I'm confident. I know he's in great shape right now, but he's also a little bit bigger. I'm looking to be faster and little bit stronger and stuff those takedowns.

PC: I think you are in the top 5 as far as your footwork goes for MMA fighters. How much do you think your movement will play a factor in this fight?

SF: It's very important. I think as far as the lightweight division goes, I'm at the top and I know that's saying a whole lot, but I think I can outbox anybody that's a lightweight in the UFC right now. I take pride in my footwork and being a southpaw, I do a good job of keeping my right foot on the outside of their lead foot. I think it's going to be very important to punch and move, punch and move and that's what I plan on doing in this fight.

PC: I'm definitely not used to hearing boos for a Spencer Fisher fight like I heard for your last fight against Cael Uno. Are you looking to put on a spectacular showing to erase the memories of that fight?

SF: Absolutely! I try to go out there and put on a show first and foremost and whatever happens is going to happen. But I believe if I go out there and I put on a show for people, they are going to say, "Hey, I want to see that guy fight again." So I'm not going out there and worrying about losing a fight from a guy holding me down because that's no fight of mine. I plan on going out there and trying to take them out every time; every person I fight. The last time, I had a little too much respect for Uno. He is by far the craftiest fighter I have fought. After watching that fight, I heard people talk about he should have won, but I landed more clean shots than he did. In the 3rd round, he was on top of me for 30 seconds and 30 seconds is not a 15-minute fight. But I definitely thought I won and I talked to Cael and he thought I won. But this time, I'm going to go after Stevenson. I'm going to go out there and try to knock him out. That's my gameplan.

PC: Florian and BJ did go right after him while Nate Diaz has a more laid back style. Is looking at his last three fights or so the reason you feel it's imperative to attack him?

SF: Yeah. The thing is he is now at a camp that is full of great strikers at Jackson's. Aaron Riley is out there, who is a southpaw as well and has a style similar to my style, so he will have that in his pocket, but I'm a different fighter than Aaron Riley. He's got a lot of other good guys though. I think he will be prepared to come out and fight until I hit him. Everybody has the same plan of saying they're going to stand with me and then after I tag them a few times, they're diving for my show laces.

PC: What did you take away from Joe's recent losses and what did you take away from his last fight, which was a win over Diaz?

SF: You can never count people out like that. Joe's been in there with everybody. The losses that Joe has are against guys that fought for the title or will be fighting for the title, so the people he's fought and lost to are like Uno. He's lost to the top of the food chain. There is no shame in the losses he's putting out and he's at Jackson's, which is the best camp in the world. He's out there right now and he's refocused and rededicated himself and what they did show against Diaz is that he's going to try to take you down. But no one comes to pay to see wrestling matches. That's the most boring thing ever. That would be like me coming out trying to jab someone to death. I'm going out there to try to win this fight in impressive fashion.

PC: It seems like the time between fights is getting longer and longer with the UFC's growing roster. What have you been doing in your down time?

SF: Healing injuries (laughing). That's the main thing for me. I had a lot of issues. And I've never lifted weights before. I have never lifted heavy weights before and it has slowed me down a little bit, but I'm hoping it will have me a little stronger and if not, I will go back to being just fast.

PC: I always appreciate your time and of course your fights. Good luck on the 24th. Is there anything you want to say in closing?

SF: Yeah man. KO Dynasty, who is my management team out there, TapouT and my gym Evolution, we're kicking butt!
