Earlier today, former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres informed us that he just arrived in Tampa, Florida to work with WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto as he continues to train for his upcoming clash with Manny Pacquiao. "Ecko man. They are my main sponsors and they sponsor Miguel Cotto. I got a call with the opportunity to come out and meet Miguel and Miguel wanted the opportunity to meet me and I said I would like to come out to his training camp if he would have me and I came down to workout with him," stated Torres as he explained how the opportunity came about.
Although Torres will not be sparring with the Puerto Rican star, he's no stranger to boxing, having worked with several other professional boxers to sharpen his own standup skills. "He's looking strong as shit man. He's hitting hard. It's a good training camp. He's looking good," remarked Torres, who will be on hand to observe and participate in several other aspects of the training camp.
