"Pacquiao's on fire. Mayweather gives angles, but not the odd and awkward angles that Pacquiao gives and as far as workrate and activity, forget about it," stated future boxing Hall of Famer and current IBA heavyweight champion James "Lights Out" Toney, who shared his thoughts on Manny Pacquiao's recent performance and his chances against the winner of the May 1st clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley. Extremely impressed by the Filipino star's workrate and punch output, the always outspoken Toney doesn't even think it matters who comes out victorious on May 1.
"They ain't fucking with Pacquiao right now, man; none of them! Mayweather ain't fucking with Pacquiao right now," he stated, making it clear that he doesn't see anyone stopping the Pacquiao Express any time soon. "Pacquiao threw 1,200 punches or so in a 12 round fight against a guy who just wanted to cover up. Pacquiao is a problem man, I'm telling you, and none of these dudes are fucking with him right now; Mayweather or Mosley."
When asked what makes Pacquiao so special, Toney quickly replied, "Combinations! That's something you see a lot of smaller guys getting away from, but Pacquiao throws a shit load of combinations, punches in bunches, and from all angles." With Mayweather and Mosley set to face off in less than six weeks, let's keep our fingers crossed that the winner will quickly come to terms with Pacquiao so we can find out if Toney is correct.
