thehype: Fighthype would like to welcome Joe Stevenson to tonight's chat session
JOE STEVENSON: What's up Fighthype?
jaz: Just about every time I see you fight, it seems like you end up choking someone out. Do you have a favorite way of ending a fight?
JOE STEVENSON: My favorite way to end a fight is any way my opponent will give it to me. Although I do like the knockout and submissions.
Zinto: what have u been training on mostly for this fight?
JOE STEVENSON: I've been doing a lot of wrestling and jiu jitsu for this fight. A lot more than normal.
muaythaifan: What do you think about Spencer Fisher picking Pellegrino to beat you?
JOE STEVENSON: I think Spencer is a smart guy, but I dont think he's all that. I dont think he thought it through experience-wise. I've been there and done that, so we will see!
CroCopolopolis: What do you think about Sherk and Franca both testing positive for steroids?
JOE STEVENSON: People make mistakes. Accidents happen. Sherk's still protesting so we'll see how the protest goes. We are the only sport that the government's testing...and boxing. If you test football players, you probably wont have anymore football. It sucks, but so does life.
Momentosis: Alot of people believe that you will simply walk-through your opponent, not that you can, and that this is a sure win for you. What are your thoughts on your opponent, Kurt Pellegrino and how do you think the fight will go.
JOE STEVENSON: No one in this sport is a for sure win, or in any type of competitive sport. Look at Serra/GSP. I'm going to take the fight to where he's not comfortable and keep it there. No way will I overlook Kurt. He has a great record.
gwill: Any thoughts on Wanderlei Silva and Brandon Vera returning to the Octagon? And with all the PRIDE guys coming over, do you think the talent pool in the UFC will be so deep that a lot of guys will have trouble getting to the big stage?
JOE STEVENSON: It's outstanding that we're bringing other great talents to the US from other organizations. A lot of people thought all of the lightweights were in Japan, but Nick Diaz proved better against Gomi. Vera is a great talent. Glad to see him back.
BigPoppaPump: If Sherk ends up losing his appeal, do you think the winner of your fight with Pellegrino should be next in line for a shot at the title.
JOE STEVENSON: I think there's a lot of people that deserves to be there, but I hope I'm next in line. We'll see.
mikerg: Hows training in Big Bear?
JOE STEVENSON: Training has been good. You don't have enough oxygen and it's tough being away from family, but other than that, it's the perfect exclusion.
JOE STEVENSON: Good to be away from the world. It's a love-hate relationship.
thehype: Fighthype would like to thank Joe Stevenson for taking time out during his training for a quick chat with us tonight.
JOE STEVENSON: See you guys later! Check me out Saturday!
