"I forgot that fight was this weekend, but I got a bounty out on David Haye," stated the always vocal future Hall of Famer James Toney in regards to Haye's WBA title defense against John Ruiz this Saturday. Toney has been adamant about getting one of the title holders in the ring and now, the former cruiserweight champion has set his sights on another former cruiserweight chamion, provided he gets past Ruiz. "I got a bounty out on Haye if he beats Ruiz. I think Ruiz is going to beat him. If he lets Ruiz beat him, then it's over with for him," he added. "I'm hurting these dudes from now on out, so Haye, you better bring your chin to work with you on Saturday, because you know he leaves it at home sometimes."
Of course, Toney didn't stop there. Never passing up an opportunity to throw Bernard Hopkins under the bus, Toney commented, "Oh Lord, I have to watch Haye and Hopkins in the same day? Somebody going to sleep that night and it won't be in the fights. Hopkins is always boring and Haye was on his bicycle so much in the Valuev fight, I thought I was watching the Tour De France."
