"I'm not sure what Floyd thinks in his mind, but I think if he can't intimidate you, he feels like he's not doing something right, something's going on, something went wrong, something's wrong, so he gets frantic and even more frantic. I don't really care. I don't care about you getting frantic. I don't care about you going crazy. I don't care about the things you say...He was a little intimidated with Oscar and he did a lot of barking. With Marquez, he wasn't that intimidated by him. But now, he's a little intimidated, so he's back to barking again. I don't bark, I bite and my bite is very deadly," stated WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley in the latest episode of 24/7 Mayweather/Mosley. Just 14 days before the bout and both fighters are deep into their training camps and focused on the fight. Check out what else Mosley had to say about Mayweather, the upcoming clash and more.
On Floyd Mayweather...
I'm not sure what Floyd thinks in his mind, but I think if he can't intimidate you, he feels like he's not doing something right, something's going on, something went wrong, something's wrong, so he gets frantic and even more frantic. I don't really care. I don't care about you getting frantic. I don't care about you going crazy. I don't care about the things you say. I don't care about any of that stuff. I have a goal. I have one goal, that's to be the best.
I think sometimes when people start doing a lot of barking, it kind of shows that they may be a little bit intimidated; a little bit afraid. He was a little intimidated with Oscar and he did a lot of barking. With Marquez, he wasn't that intimidated by him. But now, he's a little intimidated, so he's back to barking again. I don't bark, I bite and my bite is very deadly.
I'm just going to let the people and the fans know just they looked over Sugar Shane Mosley for the last time. They can't continue to look over me. They gotta give me my just due.
On his decision to replace his father as his trainer...
It was his interest in everything else except for boxing. He got into a certain position, a certain plateau where it's like, "Okay, you know, I'm the best trainer. I got Trainer of the Year. I did this. I did that. You know, I know this and I can do it. I'm gonna venture off and do this and do that." You have to put boxing first and my father wasn't living that life. He wasn't doing that.
I mean, he's my father. I love him, but I just don't choose to put myself in that position. I want somebody that's in it 100%.
