According to sources, former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek (41-1, 27 KOs) will continue his quest to become a three-division champion this August when he steps into the ring to face comebacking heavyweight Michael Grant (46-3, 34 KOs). The bout will mark Adamek's fourth appearance as a heavyweight. Having already defeated Andrew Golota, Jason Estrada and most recently Chris Arreola, Adamek has quickly become the most active fighter in the division.
Grant is fresh off of a first round stoppage of Kevin Burnett (13-4-1, 8 KOs) after nearly an 18-month layoff. Once touted as the future of the heavyweight division, Grant is probably more known for his losses than any of his victories, getting stopped by Lennox Lewis, Jameel McCline and Dominick Guinn. A win over Adamek would certainly get Grant right back into the mix with other top heavyweights.
