Earlier today, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (40-2, 38 KOs) knocked out relative unknown Albert Sosnowski (45-3-1, 27 KOs) in the tenth round of their scheduled clash at the Veltins Arena, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Although Sosnowski was game, Klitschko controlled the majority of the action behind a stiff jab before finishing off the challenger with a right hand at 2:20 of round 10.
The win marked Klitschko's fourth successful defense of the title since he regained it when he defeated Samuel Peter in 2008 after a 4-year layoff. Now that Klitschko has officially beaten all the names you've never heard of, perhaps in his next fight he'll take on someone with a bigger household name. I hear James Toney is still looking for a fight.
