Perhaps the past two weeks of drama have convinced Floyd Mayweather that it's time to settle down. As unbelievable as this may sound, it appears as though the undefeated boxer may be heading down the wedding aisle in the very near future. According to his good friend, rapper 50 Cent, Mayweather just asked him to be his best man in his wedding. "Wow just got off the phone with floyd he's getting married. he ask me to be his best man I'm in shock," 50 Cent posted in his latest Twitter update. He then followed that with a picture of Mayweather's fiance, Shantel Jackson.
The news comes on the heels of Mayweather being released from jail after he was arrested for grand larceny for items that he allegedly took from his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, during a domestic violence incident. Just days ago, Harris claimed that Mayweather had showed up to her house, attacked her in front of their kids and threatened to have both her and her current boyfriend "taken care of." After the alleged incident, Harris was taken to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries before being released. Although Mayweather was not immediately arrested for the domestic violence, he was a person of interest that police were seeking out for questioning. Mayweather voluntarily met with police early yesterday morning, when he was subsequently arrested for taking the personal items.
Although the Las Vegas Metro Police Department recommended that the Clark County District Attorney's Office also charge Mayweather with domestic violence, those charges were never filed. After posting bail, which was set at $3000, Mayweather was released from prison, declining to answer any questions from the waiting paparazzi. 50 Cent, however, has apparently been in contact with Mayweather daily and has been keeping fans abreast of what's going on through his Twitter account.
Below is the picture of Shantel Jackson that 50 Cent posted on his Twitter account:
To quote 50 Cent, "the bitch is bad!"
