PC: Chad Dawson recently said in an interview that you had a nasty attitude and no fighter wants their trainer telling them that they're going to get knocked out. What do you have to say in response to those comments?
FM: Well, first of all, you got a lot of trainers that's going to be straight up with their fighters and they aint going to talk no bullshit. I'm not the trainer to tell a motherfucker what he wants to hear. I'm not that kind of trainer. I'm not going to tell you you doing good when you getting your fucking head tore off. One day, Andre Dirrell was beating his goddamn ass so bad man, I felt sorry for him. Andre Dirrell was whooping him so bad man, he didn't know whether to shit or go blind. He's one of those kind of guys that wants a yes man and if he wants a yes man, then I ain't that man. I'm not about to kiss up to no fighter. I always say, "My way is the only way." To be honest with you, I'm starting to think he's a little retarded. I hope you got that down. Somebody told me they thought he was a little retarded and I'm starting to think it's a fact. The more he opened his mouth, the more I began to believe what they saying.
PC: He also said he is with a former champion that knows how to make champions and that you only gave him 20 minutes of your time and then you moved on to your next fighter.
FM: Everybody in the gym knows he's lying about that. You can't make a fucking champion giving him 20 minutes of your time. You can't make a champion like that and I had two fights with him. He won the title with me and defended it with me. He couldn't have won the fucking title if he didn't have me. He defended the title with me and both times people said he looked better than he ever did in his life. Everything I done showed his ass, guess what he's trying to use? The same shit I done showed him. He won't have it long because he ain't got it down yet.
PC: If you could make a champion giving them 20 minutes a day, you're greater than you say you are.
FM: You right. If I can make a champion in 20 minutes, I'm greater than I say I am. I saw him say I teach my fighters the same combinations, but if I made all of the fighters that I made champions off of the same combinations, then that's why he's the fucking champion right now. If I can teach him one combination and make him a champion, then that must be one helluva combination. If I tell you to throw the same combination over and over and over, what the fuck are you crying about? You ain't got to throw but one set of punches. What you crying for? All of my fighters that became champions off of the same combinations

He ain't taking the greatest punch anyway; I'm already knowing that. He should've been trying to throw that one combination I've been teaching him. I was telling him he was going to box the Dirrell boy that day and he going to tell me, "I don't think I want to box him today." He don't like how I work. A guy told me today he was supposed to come run today with some guys and he didn't show up. He didn't even run today. He done got bigheaded man, before he got any money. He was nothing before he got with me and he won't be nothing after he leaves me. That's the way it's going to stand with him. When a person is schooling you man, on something you doing wrong, what am I supposed to say, "Look man, you shouldn't be letting him hit you like that?" Nah man! I ain't that kind of trainer, I'm a no nonsense kind of trainer. I ain't with no bullshit. I ain't about to stand around here and kiss your ass. I'm going to tell you what you need to know and damn it, if it don't apply to you, then I'm not the one to train you man. You got the wrong guy.
PC: You're straight forward with your fighters?
FM: Look man, that's the way I am. I don't give a damn who know it; that's the way I am. Do you think that stops my phone from ringing? Hell nah! How am I disrespecting him by telling him to move his damn head? I'm telling him to move his damn head. I'm trying to tell him a way to keep him from getting his damn head knocked off and he gets mad? I ain't taking no damn blows. He says I'm talking to him wrong when I say things like, "Man, you getting your damn head knocked off. Move your damn head." Man, fuck him! You tell him my attitude is going to stay nasty. I'm going to be me and be the kind of guy that I am to keep my guys winning. That's why my fighters win. That's why I'm a winning coach. We are going to see on the 29th.
PC: I want to get your predictions on a few fights. What do you think about Mayorga/Vargas?
FM: I think Mayorga gonna to stop his ass.
PC: What do you think about the Cotto/Mosley fight?
FM: I think Shane should win. It's very possible that Shane could stop him. Very possible!
PC: We already talked about the Lil Floyd/Hatton fight.
FM: Yeah, that ain't nothing to talk about. As far as Lil Floyd Dancing with the Stars, you heard what Zab Judah said the other night, didn't you?
PC: No, I was actually at the fights and didn't hear his commentary.
FM: They asked him, "What did he think of Lil Floyd dancing with the stars while preparing for Hatton?" He said something like, that night, Lil Floyd better hope he not dancing with the stars. I think Lil Floyd can Dance with the Stars and whoop him (Judah) and Hatton in the same night. Shit, Ricky Hatton stopped Kostya Tszyu who made Zab Judah see stars and dance with them. Judah is the only one who's been getting his ass tore up around here. In all honesty, he didn't look good to me man. I remember one time he said to me, and he might not even remember this, but he said something to me about when are him and Lil Floyd going to fight? This was a long time ago, but you know, Lil Floyd tapped that ass up in the gym before he even got a hold of him in the ring. Yeah, his daddy pulled him out. He pulled him out then and you know, when that thing came down with the real fight, I believe that was foul play with the low blow. As a matter of fact, his foul was more flagrant than Cotto's was on him. He tried to get an advantage any way he could. I tell you, he wanted the referee to disqualify him. He didn't want no more ass whooping is what I think. Is there anymore I can say about Chad "The Retarded" Dawson?

I was going to get the thing to tighten all of that up, but it's going to take me more than 20 minutes motherfucker to work your head. It's going to take him 20 minutes just to put the thing on his head. The guy told me today, he the biggest liar in the world. One of my friends told me today that he was worried about me for working with him (Dawson) so long. I swear on the bible. I was working with Ron Johnson and Anthony Hanshaw and he was worried about me working with Chad so long. I'm telling you the honest truth man. He thought I was putting too much time in with Chad. When the son of a bitch was on the bag, I was with him every second he was on the bag. I trained his ass. He is telling a goddamned lie. I was there with him on the bag and to train him until he finished training. I used to go in the back room with him to do exercises with him and the motherfucker weak as hell. I'm stronger than him right fucking now. I can go in the back and do more motherfucking exercises than him and be stronger than him. Motherfucker 24 years old and I'm 54 years old and I'm stronger than him. Man, fuck that n***a man; n***a aint going nowhere man. I'm being honest with you. We be in the back and I can do more pull-ups from the back then he could do from the front and that's telling the truth. I can do more pull-ups with one hand then he could do with two. Make sure you put it down. I'm the one that got him as strong as he is now and he still weak. He is going to be even weaker now.
