"It's a go," stated three-division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley, who contacted FightHype.com moments ago to inform us that a showdown with pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao is a done deal. "J. Prince and Arum came to an agreement on the money minutes ago. Bob is drawing up the contracts and I'll sign either Wednesday or Thursday," Mosley added. Of course, the news should come as no suprise to FightHype readers, as Mosley has been telling us for quite some time that he was the leading candidate to land the May 7 bout.
The match-up will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. When asked at what weight they'll be fighting at, Mosley simply replied, "It doesn't matter, but I think it's going to be at 147. Either way, it's on and I'm ready to get it done." According to Mosley, the press tour will kick off in February.
