According to a sponsorship package that was sent to FightHype.com, two-division world champion Zab Judah's next fight will take place on March 5th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be televised live on pay-per-view. That's right...on pay-per-view. Judah will be taking on #1 ranked contender Kaizer Mabuza for the IBF jr. welterweight title.
In his last bout, which took place in November, Judah (40-6, 27KOs) won a hard-fought split decision victory against the previously unbeaten Lucas Matthysse, earning him the lofty #2 ranking by the IBF. Mabuza (23-6-3, 14KOs), on the other hand, last fought in February, stopping former jr. welterweight champion Kendall Holt in just 6 rounds. At this point, it's unclear as to whether or not the Judah-Mabuza showdown will headline the event, however, if fans are being asked to pay for it, I certainly hope not...even if it is half the price of a normal pay-per-view event.
