
Moments ago, two-division world champion Zab Judah put himself back into the jr. welterweight mix with an impressive performance, stopping the very game Kaizer Mabuza ater 7 rounds of action at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Judah, who brought Hall of Famer Pernell Whitaker back into his corner, used all of the tricks in the book to evade and outbox the aggressive Mabuza.
As the fight progressed, it appeared as though Mabuza was starting to come on, but a short counter left hand from Judah stunned him in the corner, prompting the referee to give him an the 8 count. Sensing that he was ready to go, Judah quickly jumped on him, unleashing a a flurry of shots that a still stunned Mabuza was unable to defend. Shortly afterwards, the referee jumped in to call a halt to the action at :59 seconds into the round.
