"He hits really hard. He didn't scare me, but he does hit hard. I gotta look for a job. It's time to retire. I mentioned in interviews that if I lost, I have to retire. Thank you to the public, the television, and this gentleman [Don King] that helped me reach the top," stated two-division world champion Ricardo Mayorga during the post-fight interview shortly after his 12th round TKO loss to WBA jr. middleweight champion Miguel Cotto.
