| DESPITE MOVING UP IN WEIGHT, BRADLEY BELIEVES HE'S BIGGER AND MORE POWERFUL THAN PACQUIAO By Ben Thompson | February 09, 2012
He may be the underdog in the sportsbooks, but come June 9th, Timothy Bradley doesn't think he'll have any disadvantages inside the ring. Despite the fact that the 140-pound champion will be moving up in weight to face Pacquiao for his 147-pound title, Bradley is of the opinion that he's the naturally bigger fighter. "A lot of people think I'm the smaller guy, that I'm the little guy. This is what the public doesn't realize, when I was 16, I didn't fight at 118. I fought at 152 pounds when I was 16," he explained, noting that Pacquiao has had to work his way up to the welterweight division whereas he's been heavier than the weight ever since he was a teenager. "I naturally walk around at 160, 165 pounds. Manny probably gets no higher than 155, maybe 150 walking around. I'm a naturally bigger guy even though I fought at 140 and he fought at 147." read more

I think a lot of these kids are fighting...see, they see Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao making all of that money and they are trying to adapt to their style of boxing...we're not going to have too many great fighters. It takes a lot to become a great fighter, and it takes more discipline than anything and a lot of these kids, they don't have it. I don't know what it is. There are too many distractions these days. | KOGAN'S KOMMANDMENTS: THOU SHALL NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT UFC FIGHTER PAY By Mike Kogan | February 08, 2012
Here is my take on the ESPN story and the whole fighter pay issue. To me, I represent fighters, so the more money they get paid, the merrier. I'm all for it, but at the same time, you have to keep things in perspective. First of all, on the topic itself, it's like television. If you don't like the channel, then get a remote and fucking change it. Don't sit around and bitch about a TV show that you don't want to watch when you have options. If you don't like the pay in the UFC and you don't think they are paying fair, then don't do it. Go do something else. Go box or do Jiu Jitsu tournaments or whatever. You can go and get a job at McDonald's or wherever, or go finish college. Just do whatever. To me, the way that it's being talked about is wrong. read more

When talks broke down for the millionth time between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather earlier this month, all eyes were on Miguel Cotto, whose contract with Top Rank expired, making him an unrestricted free agent in addition to being the third biggest attraction in boxing. Now that the smoke has cleared, we all know that Cotto left Pacquiao in the dust and will face Mayweather on May 5th. His decision gives us a look into what the heck is going on with Pacquiao and his boss, Bob Arum. read more

Just put them in front of me and let us do our stuff and may the best man win. A lot of my losses just came by just being dumb, man, being young and foolish. Now that I'm 25 and I got the experience that I have and my mind is right, it's over. I'm going to be 110% every time I get in there, and whoever on the other side of the ring, they know they got a fight," stated welterweight Cleotis Pendarvis, who talked about his recent victory, his future plans as he gets set to help Matthew Macklin prepare for Sergio Martinez, and much more. | THERE ARE TOO MANY ELITE FIGHTERS THAT ARE NOT COMPLETE FIGHTERS By Brad Jones | February 06, 2012
The oldest world champion, Bernard Hopkins, recently commented, "True boxing fans understand and know boxing. There's only the 3-4 fighters today [who] could've fought [in the] 60's and 70's." It's a great quote that got me thinking. Everyone complains about what boxing is lacking. "We don't have any good heavyweights" or "there aren't enough new fighters coming up." While those statements may or may not be true, the biggest problem in the sport of boxing is the lack of true teachers of the Sweet Science. Today, we have too many elite fighters that are not complete fighters. read more
