Sources close to the information have informed us that if undefeated former lightweight champion Paul Spadafora is successful in his return to the ring next Saturday, his next fight will likely be under the Golden Boy Promotions banner. Spadafora is set to face Johan Perez for the interim WBA jr. welterweight title on November 30 at the Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort in Chester, West Virginia.
According to our sources, a win for Spadafora is the only hurdle standing in the way of his signing with Golden Boy Promotions. Looking for further clarification, FightHype.com reached out to Spadafora's longtime friend and advisor Mike Monz, as well as TNT Promotions President Troy Ridgely, who have both stood by Spadafora throughout the ups and downs of his career. Although neiter man would officially comment on the subject, Monz did hint at it, stating, "We're hoping for bigger and better things after this fight."
