According to Luke Thomas of BloodyElbow.com, former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley will face Ken Shamrock as the co-main event to Roy Jones Jr.'s boxing/MMA event entitled "March Badness." It will only be Lashley's second professional MMA bout. In his MMA debut on December 13 of last year, he wrecked Joshua Franklin in less than a minute during a Mixed Fighting Alliance event. Shamrock is finally coming off a recent submission win over Ross Clifton after suffering a string of five losses in a row that began in 2005.
Also expected to be in action on the MMA portion of the card is Kimbo Slice conqueror Seth Petruzelli, who faces ex-WEC 205 pound champion Doug "The Rhino" Marshall, and Jeff "The Snowman" Monson, who face ex-IFL heavyweight champion Roy "Big Country" Nelson. The boxing portion of the card is headlined by Roy Jones Jr.'s fight with Omar Sheika. The addition of Ken Shamrock as Lashley's opponent is sure to boost PPV sales.
