According to FiveOuncesofPain.com, a clash between UFC light heavyweight Houston Alexander and TUF 10 contestant Kimbo Slice is in the works for UFC 107, which takes place on December 12th in Memphis, Tennessee. The event was supposed to be headlined by a light heavyweight clash between TUF 10 coaches Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans, however, Jackson decided to pull out of the fight in favor of persuing an acting role in the upcoming A-Team movie. The main event was replaced with a lightweight championship showdown between BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez.
In an attempt to increase interest in the card, it looks like the UFC is thinking about adding ratings phenom Kimbo Slice to the event. Although no bout agreements have been signed, FiveOuncesofPain.com is reporting that at least one of the fighters, probably Alexander, has been officially approached regarding the matchup. No word yet on whether or not the fight would take place in Alexander's weight class, light heavyweight, or in Slice's weight class, heavyweight.
A loser in his last three bouts with the UFC, Alexander recently rebounded last month with a TKO win over Sherman Pendergarst at Adrenaline MMA 4. Slice, on the other hand, has yet to win a fight inside the Octagon. He was last seen losing to Roy Nelson in Episode 3 of The Ultimate Fighters Season 10.
Being offered a televised appearance on a UFC pay-per-view card is pretty impressive for a YouTube street brawler who has yet to win a fight inside the Octagon.
