
Middleweight Cerresso Fort (10-0, 8 ko's) is poised to make his return to the ring this Friday against Tim Taggart (5-2) following a busy training camp in Florida and Minnesota.
Fort returned to his newly founded St. Paul gym Element Boxing and Fitness recently following a training stint in Florida. The undefeated knockout artist is in the final stages of preparing for his first venture to the ring since July of 2010. Fort and Taggart will do battle at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, MN in a six round middleweight bout. Fort says he feels confident and refreshed leading up to his return to the ring.
"I'm excited to put on a show for Minnesota fans, I've been working hard and you're going to see a new me on May 20" the St. Paul native commented.
Twin Cities fans will have a unique opportunity to support Fort and other fighters participating on the card, including NFL defensive end Ray Edwards in his pro boxing debut. Weigh-ins will be held at Throwbacks Grille and Bar in Woodbury, Minnesota. The weigh in will be open to the public and also feature an appearance from renowned referee Joe Cortez.
