"He knocked Baldomir out and I went the distance with Baldomir. I mean, he's young, you know, and I've never seen two guys...I mean, I've seen guys 22 and 0 versus a guy 25 and 0, then a guy 30 and 0 versus a guy 26 and 0, but you've never seen a guy 44 and 0 versus a guy 42 and 0," stated undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd "Money" Mayweather, who shared his thoughts on why he thinks his highly-anticipated September 14 showdown with undefeated jr. middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is so big.
"In Mexico, he's a young rock star and he was able to...everybody that they put in front of him, he was able to go out there and do his job, and he done it in a tremendous fasion," Mayweather explained during a conference call to promote the bout. "And, you know, he's a good, strong, solid boxer. I mean, it's a very intriguing matchup, so me, not even being a boxing fan, I would want to see two undefeated fighters at the top competiting against one another."
