Sources close to the information have informed us that there's a very strong possibility that former welterweight champion Adrien Broner will likely be making his return to the ring on the undercard of the May 3 showdown between undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana. Prior to Mayweather announcing Maidana as his next opponent, Broner took to his official Twitter page to ask his followers, "Do y'all think I should fight on my big bro @FloydMayweather card or nah?"
It's an idea that Mayweather himself first suggested back in December. "I don't think he should be focusing on chasing the Maidana fight. I think what would be a good move for him is this. May 3rd, fight on my undercard; you know, fight a solid guy at 140, get back on track and get your career in order," Mayweather explained during an exclusive interview with FightHype.com. Broner, who was originally hoping to face Maidana in an immediate rematch, has yet to comment on the news that Mayweather will be fighting the man who handed him his first loss. That being said, the fact that he asked his followers about the possibility of fighting on the undercard could mean that he's taking the advice of his "Big Bro".
