"2015 is going to be a really big year for me. My next fight will be February 6th for Glory. I'm signed with Glory and Bellator. I have two promotions I'm working with now," stated kickboxing and mixed martial arts start Joe Schilling, who gave us an update on his upcoming busy schedule for 2015. Schilling last fought back in November, scoring a devastating 2nd-round knockout victory over Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 131. Looking to build on the momentum from that highlight-reel knockout, he's strongly considering the possibility of adding boxing to his resume in hopes of maintaining an active schedule.
"And then my next fight with Bellator is going to be March or April I believe. They haven't announced that yet. But yeah, it's going to be a really busy year, and then honestly, I heard Al Haymon is now promoting boxing on Spike TV and I'm down for that too. Maybe I can get an opportunity with that as well," Schilling explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com "Boxing and kickboxing is my bread and butter. I'm working hard to get to that level in MMA. There seems to be a lot of buzz about being a 2-sport athlete and on Spike TV, maybe we can go for being a 3-sport athlete and they will put me on a Wheaties Box (laughing)."
