"You know, I don't know exactly how I feel about it. I do know that I have no problem doing it. I don't have an issue with it. If the fans wanted to see it enough, you know, like you said, if it was warranted, we have no problem," stated undefeated WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman, who shared his thoughts on a potential rematch with former world champion Shawn Porter. Although Thurman is not opposed to the idea, he made it clear that Porter will likely have to wait some time for the opportunity.
"We read an article and it said that there should be a rematch, just not right now. There's a lot more action at 147 that I can get involved with. There's more great fights to make in the welterweight division," Thurman explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "Look how many years it took before Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz got their rematch and it still was a great fight to watch at the end of the day. It's a fight that will be out there for the both of us, in my opinion, for the next year or two to come. I don't see why the fans wouldn't appreciate seeing it again."
