"I watched his fights and I see the mistakes that he makes. I always watch fighter's fights because I want to know their weaknesses. He has some weaknesses...He's 10-0 right now, but he won't be after Saturday because I'm going to take that 0! I will leave my mark on his chin," stated Bellator welterweight Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos, who talked about his upcoming clash with Michael Page at Bellator 158. Check it out!
PC: You have been a busy man. This will be your fourth fight in Bellator in 7 months. How are you feeling? How does your body feel?
ES: I'm ready. Now I have time to work on stuff because I'm fighting so often. I'm ready!
PC: Why so many fights so fast? Is this by decision or just ideal opportunities for you?
ES: I'm always ready, so I don't turn down fights. When I fought Saad on Saturday; I was training on Monday.
PC: Your approach to MMA is with aggression and very business like. Michael Page is a flashy guy that likes to attempt a lot of wild moves. How do you prepare for someone who is so unpredictable in the cage?
ES: I watched his fights and I see the mistakes that he makes. I always watch fighter's fights because I want to know their weaknesses. He has some weaknesses.
PC: What motivates you at this point? You have accomplished a lot in the sport, but you still seem hungry. What's your motivating factor right now?
ES: My family and my students are my motivation.
PC: What are some of the things you are looking to showcase in this fight?
ES: I have a great strategy, but I cannot tell it.
PC: Is the goal to become Bellator champion; you just looking to fight as often as possible? What are the goals now?
ES: I want to retire in Bellator and I want to do 60 fights. I will make 50 fights in my career against Michael Page and I want to do another 10 and retire.
PC: What has this sport meant to you?
ES: It's what I have been doing for 22 years. I have never done anything else.
PC: You're fighting an undefeated guy. He doesn't have not one blemish on his record. I'm sure it would be a great notch for you to not only beat someone who has looked pretty unbeatable, but to also claim his 0 off of his record.
ES: He's 10-0 right now, but he won't be after Saturday because I'm going to take that 0! I will leave my mark on his chin.
