"I had a guy drive me to the hospital. This disease I got is serious man. It attacks every organ in your body and sometimes I have my good days and then other days are bad, but that was about as bad as it has gotten for me Saturday night. I was in some serious pain. I know a lot of people still don't know about Sarcoidosis, but it ain't nothing to play with. I'm like you though Percy, I'm just blessed to be walking around and still be here enjoying life...I'm headed back to the gym right now to work with my fighter, who is fighting in the Bay Area on the 27th. He's 14-0. I may not do as much for a little bit, but I'm right back in the gym," stated world-class trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., who let us know that he's doing just fine after a brief stay in the hospital this past weekend.
PC: How is your health right now Big Floyd?
FM: I'm doing good now man. I'm at home.
PC: What happened to make you go check yourself into a hospital?
FM: I was at the club on Saturday night and I felt fine. It was a good time in there and right when the show was ending, man, I got a pain in my ribs and I was like, "Damn!" I couldn't even walk man. I got out to my car and I drove about 3 to 4 yards and had to put it in park. I couldn't even drive my car.
PC: Were you by yourself or did you have someone with you?

PC: Did the doctor tell you anything that you didn't already know or are they waiting on results?
FM: Well, you never know when it's going to attack your body. It can happen at any time, but I had to get him to give me a pain pill before I left because man, this disease...I tell you man, I was in pain before I left the hospital, so he gave me a pill and I feel pretty good right now.
PC: Did he tell you to take a break from boxing and rest your body?
FM: Oh no, I'm headed back to the gym right now to work with my fighter, who is fighting in the Bay Area on the 27th. He's 14-0. I may not do as much for a little bit, but I'm right back in the gym.
PC: I'm sure you had a ton of people calling to check up on you.
FM: Yeah man, and I appreciate you calling too. It's always good to hear from you and everybody else, but it's even better to hear from everybody when you sick; let's me know that people are concerned and I really appreciate that man. I'm blessed though man. Lil Floyd came by to see me last night and he and I talked about a lot of stuff, so it was good seeing him. He came by and checked on me.
